  On Saturday the 25th there was an accident on 95 north that shut the highway down on both sides.i was the first car in line north bound.I flagged an officer down because I was making my best effort to get home.not because I was impatient and didn't want to wait,not because I'm special and can drive on thru.but because my daughter was having an asthma attack.the officer came to my car already annoyed because I pulled him away from his work,I explained the situation and he yelled at me "this is a serious accident,wait your turn like everyone else".with all of the first responders there not one of them could help me.not one of them could imagine there own child struggling to breath and help her.but they managed to find time to sit on the guard rail.....I have pictures of this.....and they had time to help the guys that created the mess take pictures with the fire trucks.i have a few choice words for that officer,but I will settle for saying that I severely hope you show more compassion for the next people you run into having an emergency. Your job is to protect and serve,so if that isn't what you are capable of doing then find another job.i don't think your all that qualified for the one you currently have.

  There's good, there's bad, and then there is the ugly. No matter what or any of those categories and despite the recent allegations against one of the officers within this department everyone must remember the next time you need help and don't support the police department call a creackhead. This department has saved many lives, caught many violent offenders, and has even been recognized for their extra circular activities based on community development. I have lived in Aberdeen almost my entire life and have had a few negative encounters with this agency and the fact that they are one dedicated agency still remains the same. I would like to mention a few names that comes to mind when I hear "great officer." Not in any particular order but Neidig, Gentile, Tice Rieber, Bull, Kerns, (please forgive me) Klymenhizer, Lightning, and many others make the community very proud. Our current chief of police has a tactic like not otherwise when it comes to the prevention of crime which may seem unorthodox to some but it works for OUR community. I'm very proud of the men and women who protect our community and also the women who answer the switches. Without you guys this town would have already burnt to the ground. In the wake of the new allegations against your department please remember that one apple should not spoil the bunch and remember to walk with your head held high. After all your guys deserve it the most in my opinion.
